2 More Months...

I realized today that I only have 2 more months here at my job.  Wow!  Time is flying, and I have to get my act together.  I should have my move scheduled today, and I will start my packing lists.  Moving is such a pain in the butt!  I am excited for my next step, but sad to leave the people I love back here in Chicago.  I had the best Memorial Day weekend (will write about it soon, I promise!), and I want more weekends like that:)  This weekend should be a close second, since I get to celebrate my guy's 35th bday. 

I am going to miss this place, and definitely need to finish up my "bucket list".  I have been doing quite well on it, and making the most of every day.  Now I need to hunker down, and pack, because I will be living out of a suitcase/car for over a year.  What a thought.  Anyone ever do this and have any ideas? Suggestions?  I am glad I am good at the 30 in 30, because I won't be able to have a lot of clothes, and will definitely be making a few trips to Goodwill.

Running

Running a race this upcoming weekend, and I am a bit nervous.  I was swamped this week with school, work, and being under the weather.  Had a good training run this am..ran about 4 miles in a good time, so I am happy about that.  I just want to finish the race.  I need to get in one or two more solid runs and some cross training this week, but just not over do it.  I tend to get a runners high so strong, that a 4 mile run will turn into an 8 mile run.  No good:( 

I have been working out a lot lately, mostly running, Bikram Yoga, and cross training.  I wouldn't trade it for how I feel, and how I look.  Getting actual sleep every night, eating well, and working out religiously has definitely made me feel better than I have in a long time.  I just hope I can keep this up, because I love the compliments I am getting from Mike.

Fitness Update

I have been running, doing yoga, cycling etc like a mad woman lately.  Seriously.  I had a blast doing the 5K I did, but it was freezing outside:)

I love running, and am hoping to do the 5K for Children's Memorial Hospital June 18th. 

Anyone want to join me? 

Oh yeah, up to 10 pounds lost :)  Yay.  Lets hope I can keep the trend...

Retail Reward..

I have lost 7..yes 7 pounds so far in my two week fitness freakshow ahem..adventure.  Pretty excited about it, so I rewarded myself with new workout shorts, bra, and this headband today.  I only spent about $50, because I got the under armour gear pretty cheap.  I just hope I can keep up some of this momentum with working out, and eating right.  My goal is about 13 more pounds.

Resolutions Update #2

So I know if I don't keep revisiting my "Resolutions", I will never do them.  Luckily for me, it is the end of March, and I am still going strong.

1. Make a cook book.  I started it, and wow is it a task..but well worth it.  If anyone has any recipes they would like me to try or contribute to the "book", let me know!

2. Invite friends over more often.  I was doing well with this until March hit because of travelling.  I am trying to set up a brunch for the ladies for April as soon as I get my calendar straightened out.

3. Work out more.  Definitely going well on this with the exception of the last week.  Its ok, got a run scheduled today. :)  I signed up for a 5K for April, and a Half Marathon for September!  I also got an appointment with a nutritionist just to see if there is anything else I can do to be "healthier". 

Still going strong on these 3, as well as my 30 for 30 challenge.  I have probably only spent $300 on clothes the past 4 months.  Just keep wearing what I have, and it saves me money and time doing laundry, etc.  I never realized how much money I spent on clothes until I did this.  I would buy an outfit for an occasion, and wear it once.  Not anymore!! 

Although, Spring/Summer are here..kind of.  So that means new clothes.  Lets see if I can pick up some awesome basics soon!  Watch out Jcrew..

Monday

Busy busy busy.  I have to write a paper (actually 3), but 1 at a time right?  I am also travelling a ton soon, and lucky for me I have an awesome bf who is puppy sitting for me.  Hoping it isn't a huge disaster:)

Looking forward to my travels and catching up with old friends.  I am in a crazy good mood today, and can't let anything/anyone interfere with that!!

Resolutions...

Most people have ditched their resolutions by now.  Not me..for once!

I need to start my cookbook, but I have been varying my recipes so much lately, that I know I will have it started soon! 

I have been having people over more often for dinner..and bringing in some healthy goodies to work.  Baking banana bread and cupcakes tomorrow for my co-workers.  I am also making homemade minestrone soup tonight!

I have been working out a lot lately.  After I had my appendix out, it was extremely difficult to do much of anything, but I have been slowly getting back into a routine.  Lost 7 pounds so far since New Years.  Gotta keep that up!  Told the bf I will be bikini hot by June.  Yup.  I am also convincing him to run a 5K with me.
